Harlan Bay

We woke to a beautiful, sunny (rather breezy) morning. The whole group enjoyed a full English breakfast before setting off to Harlyn Bay for our first day of water sports.

Today would be surfing and coasteering.  We set up camp in the car park and set off to meet our instructors Matt and Tom.

Foggy

Everybody braved the choppy waters and Cameron,

Elliott, Megan and Charley managed to stand on their boards.

After surfing we enjoyed our packed lunch, Tracy cooked some burgers and we finished it off with a Cornish cream tea. Mr Baker popped along to say hi and see how we were all getting on.

After lunch we were coasteering.

Staff and students were fearless, scrambling over rocks, jumping into the White water, swimming in sea caves and drifting out to sea. Staff member Alex H would like his Mum to know how brave he was!!

After a chicken balti dinner we were off to Newquay bowling. We had the music so loud that we blew the fuse! Needless to say the D of E team won the bowling! We drove back to the youth hostel along the coast road with its breathtaking views and glorious sunset. One student said the sun was so beautiful he wanted to row a boat out to it to touch it.
